Meaning of epiphany :
The feast that celebrates the story of the magi visiting the child Jesus in Bethlehem, bringing him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh (Matthew 2:1-12). It is celebrated on the second Sunday after Christmas. The name means “to shine forth or make known” and continues the Christmas focus on showing forth the reality of God’s love made manifest in Jesus of Nazareth. For Eastern Christians this is the main celebration during the Christmas season.
For the term epiphany may also exist other definitions and meanings, the meaning and definition indicated above are indicative not be used for medical and legal or special purposes.
