## Meaning and definition of theoretical probability:

theoretical probability – the probability of an event is equal to the number of favorable outcomes divided by the number of possible outcomes. For example, a die has six possible outcomes (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) but only one of those numbers will come up each time the die is rolled. So the theoretical probability for getting a 4 on one roll of the die is 1/6.
