An industrial tribunal is an independent body which an employee can appeal to if they feel that they have been unfairly dismissed. The tribunal will hear the cases of both the employer and employee and then make a decision which all parties are legally bound by. The tribunal has the power to demand the reinstatement of an employee or the payment of compensation to them.
