Meaning of gospel :
A particular form of Christian literature centered on the “good news” (the meaning of the word ‘gospel’) of Jesus Christ’s life, death and resurrection. The name comes from the first line of Mark’s gospel: “The gospel of Jesus Christ, Son of God.” . The New Testament has gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. In the early Church other gospels were written but none of the others were accepted as authentic presentations of our faith in Jesus Christ, his teachings, or the meaning of his life.
For the term gospel may also exist other definitions and meanings, the meaning and definition indicated above are indicative not be used for medical and legal or special purposes.
