Meaning and definition of dsl :

 

DSL: Digital Subscriber Line. This is the most common connection used by home users today and comes in various forms that run at different speeds. With a DSL connection a digital signal shares the phone lines with their normal analog signals allowing for very fast communication between users and phone companies. Also, one does not have to dial the ISP to use the internet, and as the internet is always on, one can use the phone at the same time.
